The name "Allied Shipyards" recalls the industrial might of the American wartime effort—a time when honest work in service of the greater good was the most rewarding way to make a living.
Allied Shipyards is a design and technology studio—and an ongoing art project, run by Wayne Chang (graphic design, BFA, Art Center College of Design).
Wayne sees design as the organized distribution of data, and tends to favor elegant, minimalistic solutions over the florid or the ostentatious. He is not into simple "cool-n-awesome," though like any qualified designer, Wayne can generalize his abilities.
