I am a technologically proficient graphic designer accepting
freelance work in either creative or technical support roles.
Allied Shipyards is a design and technology studio and ongoing art project
operated by Wayne Chang (BFA graphic design, 2006, Art Center College of Design).
I see design as the organized distribution of data and tend to prefer elegant,
minimal solutions to the florid or ostentatious. I dislike "cool-n-awesome,"
but like any qualified designer I can generalize my abilities.
The name "Allied Shipyards" recalls the industrial might of the
American wartime effort—a time when honest work in service of the greater
good was the most rewarding way to make a living.
